The privileged minority that recently tasting one of the few remaining bottles of the original 1959 Lanzerac Pinotage describe the wine with notes of tobacco and tea, together with vibrant black berry and cherry fruit. Harmonious and expressive with maturity but also freshness. Sixty years later the re-incarnation of this wine display some of the same characteristics as the original. Red- and black berries with hints of tea-leaf combined with an earthiness and finishing with soft silky tannins speaks to their ancestors namely Pinot Noir and Cinsaut. -
This crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc boasts generous aromas of green fruits including Granny Smith apples that interplay with white fruits such as Asian pears and white peaches in a perfect fruit-acid balance. A fresh lemongrass mouthfeel with subtle minerality is rounded off by a soft creaminess in the long finish due to extended lees contact. Enjoy this wine now or cellar until 2028. -
This full-bodied Chardonnay showcases prominent primary citrus aromas on the nose followed by a complexity of flavours including lemon, clover, ginger and vanilla. The palate reveals an excellent balance between fruit, acidity and softness with a lingering aftertaste. Limited stock available. -

This appetizing wine has everything a Merlot-lover could want, and more. The 2023 Merlot has an excellent deep red colour, with ripe red berries, cocoa, slight mint and chocolate on the nose. On the palate the wine shows a well-balanced tannin structure, rich body with fruit and a lingering aftertaste. -
This classic Cabernet shows inviting flavours of blackberry and youngberry with hints of cocoa, almond and cedar. A full-bodied wine with excellent balance on the palate and a smooth lingering aftertaste. The wine can be enjoyed now, but will benefit with a further 5-8 years of maturation. -

Nobody’s been bottling Pinotage longer than Lanzerac and this wine shows a wealth of experience with this proudly South African variety. The 2023 Pinotage boasts an excellent deep colour, ripe berries and plums on the nose and palate with a good mouth-feel and lingering aftertaste. With 5 to 10 years’ maturation this wine will start to acquire the velvet density and luxurious chocolate and caramel flavours of its very early Lanzerac predecessors. A full-bodied, complex wine with a beautiful balance between fruit and wood showcasing a good tannin structure that will allow it to age extremely well. -

The Lanzerac Jonkershoek Reserve 2021 is a blend consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Petit Verdot. The grapes for each variety used in this blend comes from selected vineyards in the Jonkershoek Valley. All harvesting and pruning were done by hand with extreme care taken to not damage the grapes resulting in only healthy grapes being picked. -

The BERGSTROOM (meaning mountain stream) is named after the various deep ravines acting as a life vain for various town and is a classic blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. This classical Bordeaux-style white blend is packed with kiwis, gooseberries and green hay on the nose, whilst on the palate, the wine gives length and complexity with a well-balanced acidity to finish of this fresh wine. Only 1 608 bottles of the BERGSTROOM 2023 were produced. -

Elizabeth Katherina English bought the farm Schoongezicht in 1920 for £18 000, subsequently renamed the farm ‘Lanzerac’ and transformed it during her nine years of ownership into one of the most modern wineries in the Cape. This wine is a tribute to this formidable lady. Sourced from a single vineyard in the Jonkershoek Valley, the Mrs English 2024 is a complex wine with an abundance of citrus flavours on the nose, a full palate and lingering aftertaste. Great care is taken during the blending process to ensure a wine with impeccable balance, character, poise and deliverance.
