Position Available: Meetings & Events Coordinator
Department: Food & Beverage
Work Hours: 9 hours per day, five days per week (including late shifts, weekends, public holidays, split shifts, overtime, and last-minute changes)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and selling meetings and events facilities
  • Ensuring all enquiries are answered timeously and recorded daily
  • Scheduling and conducting site inspections
  • Creating bookings on Protel MICE & Protel Quick Groups (for events and accommodation)
  • Communicating event details and changes via function sheets
  • Planning and coordinating events to ensure smooth execution
  • Ensuring deposits, pre-payments, and balances are paid on time
  • Assisting the Meetings & Events Manager with on-site events when required
  • Maintaining and improving high-quality service for a 5-star guest experience
  • Developing innovative ideas with managers to sustain outlet success
  • Handling routine daily sales accounting; ensuring accuracy at the end of each day
  • Upholding the principles and goals of Lanzerac
  • Willingness to work most weekends and public holidays
  • Complying with all Health & Safety and hygiene regulations
  • Managing client queries and complaints promptly and escalating serious issues to the Meetings & Events Manager or Duty Manager
  • Attending weekly Operations and F&B meetings and relaying information to team members
  • Performing any other assigned duties

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to respond quickly and creatively, maintain energy and focus on projects
  • Own transport required
  • Well groomed
