Lanzerac Keldermeester Versameling

The Lanzerac Keldermeester Versameling wines are the brainchild of Cellar Master Wynand Lategan, focusing on experimentation, both from a variety and terroir perspective. The range comprising both reds and whites, made in boutique quantities of less than 3000 bottles, draws inspiration from the Jonkershoek valley and the history of Stellenbosch.

The Bergpad Pinot Blanc, named for the famous mountain path running from the heart of Stellenbosch towards Lanzerac in Jonkershoek, is a true “Hen’s teeth” wine. One of only three examples of a single varietal Pinot Blanc in South Africa. A small 30-year-old single vineyard, slightly bigger than a hectare, supplies the grapes for this intriguing wine.

Taking its name from the various deep ravines and meandering streams in the Jonkershoek valley, the Bergstroom white Bordeaux blend comprises some of Lanzerac’s highest altitude Sauvignon Blanc, blended with 30% Semillon. The fresh, green aromas of the wine echo those found in the valley which inspired its name.
