As businesses across the country slowly come back to life, the famed Lanzerac Deli has received the go-ahead to re-open its doors for take-away meals and homemade delights.
This exciting news means that locals can once again enjoy fresh, homemade, gourmet meals the Lanzerac way. What’s more, the re-opening of the Deli means some relief to employees who can get back to work.
The Deli will serve up some of its all-time favourites, including fresh-packaged warm meals, on-the-go snacks, sweet treats and more.
For lighter snacks, visitors can choose from a selection of delicious gourmet sandwiches or Lanzerac’s favourites like the, scone box for two, freshly baked pastries, as well as cheese and charcuterie platters. The Deli’s tasty selection of homemade jams and preserves, biscuits, rusks, sweet treats and pantry goods is also available for purchase in-store. Freshly-brewed coffee, perfect for those cold, winter mornings or as a midday pick-me-up, will also be available.

Lanzerac’s warm meals are legendary and perfect as a convenient lunch or dinner option. The warm menu boasts delicious gourmet dishes like braised lamb shank, burger box for two, slow-cooked pork belly and oxtail and bean casserole. There will be a selected dish per day and the menu will change weekly. All meals are individually packaged and made-to-order.

A Cape Winelands institution
Lanzerac Deli is something of an institution in the Cape Winelands, and its re-opening could not come a minute too soon. The venue is known for offering the very best in fresh, artisan produce and fare, making it the perfect retreat for diners in search of homemade delights and sweet culinary treats.
While its sit-down restaurant remains closed, the Deli chefs and kitchen staff are on call to provide homemade meals, bread, pastries, sandwiches, locally-sourced cheese and more to visitors daily. These take-away options will stay in line with the Deli’s reputation for good food, well-loved recipes, fresh ingredients and are all prepared to perfection.
Theravine and Elemis spa products available
The Lanzerac Spa is also open in a limited capacity to provide various Elemis and Theravine beauty and skincare products for collection or delivery to the doors of residents in the Stellenbosch area. Elemis is a number 1 luxury British skincare brand known for their restorative skincare products to revitalise, rejuvenate and transform skin to its former glory. If you prefer to support locally, Theravine is produced from grape extract and combines the latest technology with essential oils and botanicals to provide an excellent and natural skincare range.

Alternatively, door-to-door delivery is available in Stellenbosch on Thursdays from 10am – 1pm. There is a minimum order of R450.00 required for delivery.

All meals are for pick-up only. Warm meals must be ordered 24-hours in advance. Delivery can be arranged for special occasions, e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, meetings and events.
All meals are for two people at R500 including delivery in the Stellenbosch area, or R450 for collection. Alternatively, turn your meal into a 4-course dining experience for R900 including delivery in the Stellenbosch area or R850 for collection. Round off your meal with dessert from the pastry chef or a cheese plate with biscuits and preserves for an additional R100.
Wine sales are available at the Tasting Room from Monday – Thursday between 9 am – 5 pm.
