We are proud to announce that Lanzerac Hotel & Spa was awarded 5-star Premium Status by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA).
This status has been reserved for graded establishments in South Africa that epitomise and exceed both product quality and service standards in the luxury market. Lanzerac is one of only seven properties in the Western Cape, and the only property in Stellenbosch, to have been given this status this year.
“Lanzerac is extremely proud of this achievement, which is dedicated to every team member,” said General Manager, Emile Langehoven. “It has been a tough 19 months for the hospitality industry, yet the team at Lanzerac continues to produce excellent service. For this reason, I am very proud.”
The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa sets quality criteria for the grading of tourism products. A 5-Star Premium status was introduced in 2019, for those establishments in South Africa that exceed 5-Star status in terms of product luxury, quality and service. The introduction of the new Grading Level above the 5-star level dubbed 5-Star Premium, was in response to a widespread comparative study completed as part of the Grading System review process. A number of similar global quality assurance bodies have made the move to recognize and differentiate those products which exhibit a unique level of product quality, extensive guest amenities and world class luxury service standards.
